Lithuanian Centre for Social Sciences (hereinafter – LSMC), implementing the activity “Increasing the attractiveness of researchers’ careers and promoting brain circulation – my first research team” (hereinafter – MPK) of Progress Measure No. 12-003-03-06-01 “Improving the research and study environment”, announces a call for proposals for the vacant position of Research Leader-Young Scientist.
MPK Research Leader-Young Scientist, for whom no more than 7 years have passed from the date of obtaining a doctoral degree to the last day of the deadline for applying for the position of a young scientist who will lead an R&D project, set by the LSMC (this period does not include pregnancy and maternity leave, paternity leave or leave to care for a child, long-term incapacity for work due to illness).
Preliminary research topic “Assumptions for providing society with safe food in the context of economic, social and legal challenges”, MPK research activities must comply with the provisions of the Smart Specialization Concept.
A young scientist applying for the position of MPK leader must form an MPK research group according to the established criteria and submit:
- curriculum vitae (CV);
- a completed MPK research questionnaire approved by the Research Council of Lithuania;
- justification of the compliance of the MPK research with the provisions of the Smart Specialization Concept;
- a detailed description of the MPK research activities according to the form provided by the Research Council of Lithuania.
The young scientist applying for MPK research leader provides information to substantiate the competencies in the curriculum vitae or in a separately submitted appendix, which must additionally include: - a list of his/her scientific publications and, as a corresponding author, screenshots of the first page of international publications from the journals in which the publications were published;
- information about participation in thematic research networks and (or) scientific societies, reviewers and (or) expert groups.
These and other requirements are established by Order No. V-519 of the Chairman of the Research Council of Lithuania of 19 November 2025 “On approval of the description of the implementation of the activity “Increasing the attractiveness of researchers’ careers and promoting brain circulation – my first research team” of the progress measure No. 12-003-03-06-01 “Improving the research and study environment” and the description of the implementation of this measure by the LSMC.
