Trade Union

The trade union of the Lithuanian Centre for Social Sciences (LCSS) represents the rights of the employees and aims to improve the working conditions and organizational climate in the institution. It also aims to promote social dialogue in the country and contribute to the professional well-being of all scientific and educational workers in Lithuania.

The main activities of the LSCS trade union:

– Protection of the employees’ rights and representation of their professional interests;
– Participation in resolving disputes with the employer;
– Ensuring counseling and emotional support in case of unpleasant situations at work;
– Monitoring of employee attestation and recruitment processes’ compliance with legal acts, principles of fairness, and transparency;
– Cooperation with Lithuanian and foreign trade unions.
